Indeed. And to make matters worse, a lot of breeders - who people trust to be experts - endanger a lot of animals by spreading that misinformation. Say, for example, that Bengal cats can't get FeLV (they can) or that one should wait until their female dog has gone through at least two heat cycles before getting her fixed (which you shouldn't because cancer).

Medicine isn't something we practice willy-nilly. It doesn't take a degree to be a breeder, however. Nor to write articles on the internet. ~_~
