This picture was sort of an exercise in trying to visualise the world Inihskay inhabits. This was started before page one, and all I had to do was complete the shadows, but I didn't know where to start...
Setting it aside for later helped a great deal, in addition to the shadows, embellishments like the details on the parchment, and the titles and book plate on two of the books were added.
