You did a very good job establishing Winter's personality. That was definitely a nice look into a what life is like between you and Winter and it is a wonderful human and dragon relationship story.

Your story gives me a really nice feeling of the care and love between the two. I can see the bond they share and it's very sweet. You have excellent wording and descriptions to what's going on. I probably wouldn't consider it a storyline (as you said), but it is a beautiful moment and tells a lot of the two and their relationship. ^^

It is not easy to pull off a present-tense story, but this one works. Well done.
