A little further upstream from the last time I photographed this river.
Yes, we're back over the Danube, this time in the Austrian capital city, Vienna. I hadn't been able to come to this part of Vienna the last time I was here, so this was quite a treat for me, as not only did I manage to find the largest river in Europe, but I also visited the second of the four UN headquarters, the others being in New York, Geneva, and Nairobi. It is rather an impressive building, looking slightly more modern than the HQ in New York, and yet both are equally impressive in what they represent, and the work that each has done to contribute to global peace and security. I was on the verge of going to a Model United Nations conference there in late July, but that's had to be called off due to my flight training schedule. Hopefully I'll get to go a couple of years in the future! ^__^
Also, while in Vienna, I again managed to return to the one place where I can comfortably drink coffee. It may surprise some to know that I'm not really a fan of coffee, but I was never really able to get into the taste of it. Except in Vienna, where I could easily drink gallons of it. The same goes for beer and the Czech Republic - I've drunk more beer in the past three weeks than I have in my entire lifetime, amounting to about 5 pints of various different brands. Should you wish to sample some, of either coffee or beer, I'd be more than happy to supply.
Hope you enjoy! :)
