Philophobia: The Fear of Love [OLD VERSION]

It was difficult to get a good grip on this one because most people that have this fear is mostly all related to heart break. They fear love because of heart break. That's not a lot to go through...
So I began to dig deeper. What's so scary about love? What elements of love exist that I can twist?
I went back to my times of enjoying anime and re-discovered one in particular. Future Diary. Most of you that have a strong stomach and enjoy anime, check it out. It's violent, at times quirky, but it packs quite the punch. Why did I mention this? One of the characters is named Yuno Gasai. Probably you know her by name now, no? Adorable ain't she? Just like that girl you like so much. She's cute, smart, independent, etc, etc...

Well...what if she likes you too? Jackpot, right?!...right?...

What if she likes you too much?...what if she goes at any lengths to be with you?...what stops her from killing to be with you? You can't have anyone else in your life but her. She constantly stalks you, she constantly knows what you are doing in every given minute, she knows everything about you. Worse of all? She will pay any price.
What stops her from turning into a beast, in front of your eyes, just to prove that she will do anything. Even kidnapping you from the entire world and keeping you for herself?
There's a very thin line in between love and obsession, so thin that one can easily mistake them before they even know. And when that line is crossed is too late. You are far too blind to give in...and you are far too focused on your obsession to let go.

My inspirations for this drawing were Cupid, Hearts (a common symbol of love), a Succubus and Yuno Gasai herself. A twisted and corrupted representation of love turned obsession, or a person who's love went too far and they now have no limits when it comes to their own loves.
