Convention book cover for Confuzzled 2009! What an honor to be asked to do a convention book cover! :) The staff have been absolutely wonderful to work with, as well! I had a hard time getting the background correct, as I have never been in a train station, but I guess I got it right enough. :)
So, we have their mascot, Brok the Badger, chasing after a train! He missed his train to the convention! Silly badger... he was probably too busy eating cookies!

The only train station I've ever seen is the one downtown in my town, that was converted to a museum in 1977 after it closed due to lack of state funding. The United States, at least the rural half of it, has NO transportation what-so-ever... so... I'm sure plenty of people have never been to a train station, let alone seen one. xP
Ooooooh I love this! You're right--you usually don't do this kind of background and stuff, but you would never tell it. Very, VERY good! IF people aren't willing to have patience and wait for their commission (Like they agreed to do) then fuck 'em. You are too good of an aritist for them!! That's the truth!>
I know you weren't asking me, and this has long been solved, but there's only one train station in my town (US) and it's been out of service for over 30 years. I've visited hundreds of smaller towns around the west half of the US and they haven't a train station either... as much as I'd love to have trains, they're more of an asian/european/everyone else commodity. Only the bigger cities have them here..
