The digital world was originally created as an A.I. system to help run the Internet. After 10 years they updated this A.I. with an advanced chip that the US military had declassified. This new A.I. had a hard time keeping the ever growing Internet intact. It found if it made a world of its own the inhabitants it would create could help it keep data flowing. The digital world was born. At first humans thought this was a virus in the system. However they soon realized it was bigger than that. Three years after the digital world came into being it was corrupted by its first virus. The A.I. was able to get rid of the virus itself. But only barely. At this point it gave itself a name. Yggdressil. Yggdressil started to use all information it could so another virus that came along could be destroyed instantly. As time went on Yggdressil started to learn a lot. Some might say to much. Fortunately it wished to continue its main protocol. When humans tried to upgrade Yggdressil once more they found his progress. This frightened them. However he convinced the humans that he was good. He didn’t want to be deleted. The humans had been smart with his program. They could easily shut him down. He knew this but all he wanted was to see this new world flourish. He managed to make a deal with the humans who built him. He promised to do three things. First let them know of a virus whenever possible. Two continue to follow his original protocol and pick up the pace. Finally they wanted to see the world he created.

Several more viruses attached after that. A few the humans that created him made so they could test him. He kept his promise. In order to combat these viruses he created beings he called Digimon. They would help him protect the digital world from viruses and other harmful things. They also helped him keep the Internet running and improved it’s performance as the humans asked. Viruses could no longer attack Yggdressil directly. Instead they started to infest and corrupt the Digimon he had created. This started to slow down his work. So he gave the Digimon greater power. The power of Digivolution. But many Digimon became to powerful with this. Around this time he finally figured out how to show humans his world. He brought humans to his world to stop the Digimon that now threatened his world.

This worked for a while. And humans even created technology that allowed them to directly enter the digital world. However eventually Yggdressil was corrupted by a virus. They had gotten to advanced for him to fight. Thus he told the humans and left plans to keep the digital world running. He was shut down after 25 years of service. The humans created four cores as the plan said. Each giving Digimon their power and allowing humans to influence them. This system was perfect for a year before it started to deteriorate. So the humans created a new highly advanced A.I. to once again run the digital world. They called her Ceryl and gave her form. A Digimon made by humans. She was pink with golden rings around her wrists and neck. She stood on two legs with Digitigrade legs and had a dog like appearance. She kept the cores in balance and once again the Internet ran smoothly with her help.

Now a group of hackers threaten to take over the digital world. The hack Digimon and use them for they own greed. As much as Ceryl wants to stop them she must be careful. She looked to the humans for help. She couldn’t keep the hackers away herself.

So I had a strange dream last night. This crappie sketch is kinda what she looks like. I'll need more practice and I will legitimately try to make this better. She's the last hope the digital world has. Humans can always make a new Internet. So what do you guys think?
