Mouth Interface for fursuit use (and many other uses)
This is a project I have been working on for a LONG time. It's a interface that sits in the roof of your mouth and will enable to you control things just by pressing your tongue against one of the pads. It also had a joystick build in too.
Parts come in at under $100 depending on supplier.
I'm showing it here because I need help funding my projects so I have registered myself on Patreon.

I am still currently working out the rewards system but it will be a full blow by blow description of how the item is made plus any code or techniques that I am using.
Understand - I'm not wanting to make a profit from this. Anyone will be free to use my idea's and improve of them once they have been released after a timely interval so my watchers and patrons can benefit first. There may even be custom parts like printed circuit boards or assemblies to contributors as well.
But all funds will go towards purchase of parts to push forward the technologies.
Looking forward to hearing from you..

As awesomely cyber and not to mention impressive as this is, it seems to me like a very uncomfortable interface. Regarding comfortably functional fursuits, I've always wished for better access to the world outside of them via senses, like retaining nimbleness and dexterity, and being able to drink and consume food without taking everything off.
Better expressing ourselves to the outer world is a great pursuit too, absolutely! This looks like it would really handicap our mouths from any other use though. I'm not confident of that, just presenting my concerns. Maybe if it could be wireless it would feel less messy and restricting than I'm imagining. I wonder if neural interfaces are reliably implementable enough to use for something like a fursuit now, how clean and pure that would feel would make up for the steeper learning curve to controlling it, for me.
I'm glad you've set up a Patreon, good luck! I bet lots more people have been silently watching you in awe for years and would jump for a convenient way to help.

Oh--and regarding the subject of the picture, this looks very interesting. I've often wondered how one would operate animatronics without obvious finger movements (most animatronic controls are hand-operated). This looks like quite an effective solution. It would never work for me, though, because I have a strict no-electronic-or-even-electric-parts rule for my own fursuit making. This is because I want my fursuit to be able to survive getting wet (as in getting caught outdoors in a cloudburst, or me spontaneously deciding to play in water or mud in fursuit--very likely things with me), and I don't want to have to remove said electric parts first. Especially in the case of sudden rain (or being clumsy enough to fall overboard from a boat), since then I wouldn't have advance notice.
