Technically this is an newer dye-lot of Lavender or Lilac. I can't remember which. the hazards of buying fabric at drastically different times is that sometimes It can be drastically different. There's another example of this when i get to the blues.
ANYWAY This gives a good example of two of the special types of chirrs that will be at MP this year. The top left (your left) is what I consider a Jewel-tone chirr. It's plastic is translucent, while the one of the right as you can see, in it's purple/pink mix is another thermal-reactive chirr. Both of these are $35 wile the three on the bottom are the normal price of $30 each. The reasoning behind the higher prices is the cost of materials (and in the case of jewel-tone, time as well) make these is significantly more.
The gem-like quality of the jewel-tone plastic is the result of using a material that is resistant to the usual vagaries of florida humidity, the only problem is that instead of my usual cure time with my resins of 10 minutes where I can also easily slush-cast the neck for easier drilling and adhering, the cure time for these is about 30 hours which means not only am I not getting much work done while the molds are occupied (i have ten resin mold sets btw for these crazy projects) I also have to grind and drill out the back to that I can make it thin enough to drill holes through, though because of this process, they're a very sturdy but it's also very time consuming.
The thermal additive powder just costs more than my usual dyes. :p
Light-purple (lavender) minky was used for the bodies while epoxy resin (jewel tone) and regular Resin was used to make the heads and paws. Thermal powder was used to pigment the thermal-reactive resin head and metallic powders were used on the rest. (though the picture doesn't do it justice the two dark blue heads are a bit more different than in the picture.) The two on top are $35 each, while the three on the bottom are $30 each.

They are so adorable! I wish that I was able to go to MP to be able to purchase a Chirr of some color...not necessarily purple because they are so darned cute!
That translucent quality for the new gem-like heads is really neat and gives them a really unique glow to them. I love all the contrasting combinations for these little ones. The gold eyes are a nice touch for the one on the top right.

I still view it as win-win and if people see a chirr they want I'll hold it for them or send it out prior to MP, but I highly doubt I'll sell all of my stock, if I do thats over 9k in earnings I will happily scuttle away into savings. if not, I only have to worry about filling in the gaps in inventory for next year and focusing on new colors (and discontinuing old ones if they did poorly). I REALLY want to be able to work on Dolphoria and Sirenidae for next year.
