So I wanted to get this stuff out of the way as it's not really the point of the world, but it's still there and worth mentioning
So guards are sogalun dragons who employ their services to protect villages and merchants from the wildlife of massive insects and would be criminals through fighting. They usually dont have ALL of this equipment, as it gets expensive fast so they usually have some combination of this equipment, or even just a sharp stick and some enthusiasm.
Most of the stuff is self explanatory, the shields tend to be so tall as they dont wear body armor so the shield fills that gap. And they are in a bronze age so all the equipment is bronze.

Well leather doesnt work as there are not many mammals at all. Most of the landborn creatures are either bugs of some sort or those that are reptiles or amphibians are too hard to reach/ kill and those that can be reached are more likely to kill you than you it. I did think about wood armor though, maybe more of an improvised sorta thing i dunno.
