And here I am wishfully thinking "Man, it sure would be nice to have one of those fancy SSDs so my system can stop being a slug on weed..." and here you are making me discover that people use them for steam and storage too. Heck I didn't even know you could have so many SDD/HDDs on a computer. :I
tbh SSD's have gotten pretty cheap now over time. as an OS drive 120 or 240 are more then enough.
and it is indeed the most worth while "cheap" update you can make for a pc. putting the OS on an SSD. through I only really suggest doing so for people with windows 8 and above. windows 7 also allows for it but from what I know there are a few troubles and hinders you can run into with it.

Ooh another Corsair Air 540 user. Nice
My rig uses the same case but in white color and custom water cooling loop. Built it around a year ago.
I7 5820k six core CPU (4.5 Ghz OC 1.3 volts)
32 GB DDR4 2400 RAM (XMP)
Asus X99-A
MSI GTX 980 Gaming 4G (/w EKWB Water block & Backplate)
SuperFlower 850W Leadex Platinum
M.2 Samsung SM951 256G SSD (+ Modular Heatsinks) (Boot Drive )
Sandisk Ultra II 480G SSD ( Project file storage for quick access )
OCZ ARC 480G SSD ( Steam Lib )
Western Digital Black 2TB 7200RPM HDD ( Old but valuable data )
Seagate Barracuda 1TB 7200RPM HDD ( storage for some crap )
240mm Radiator (Push/Pull 4 Fans)
360mm Radiator (Push/Pull 6 Fans)
11 x Cooler Master Jetflo Fans
I know this is a mixmash of lot of different hardwares x.x
If I had more money and knowledge I'd rather gone for same brand of storage and all.

Yea compared to AIO its a real hassle
You need separate Reservoir (Tank), Pump, Tube (Flex/Acryllic/Metal) , Fittings that match the tube material and inner/outer diameter, Waterblock(s), Coolant and Radiator.
And plan how you're going to connect them all as well.
Also with poor skills or parts can end up in leaks.
I'll write the good part later.
