Kappa beans are simple creatures, but where did they come from? Once upon a time, there was only a plant slime. A much younger Kappa had been practicing transformation and didn't notice a piece of him fell off. The wandering plant slime decided to eat said piece of Kappa and, thanks to slime deus ex machina bullshit (translation: I'm lazy, sue me), the first Kappa Bean was formed.

Kappa Beans are odd creatures, starting off as seeds, requiring planting. Eventually, said bean seed will become a beanstalk, producing up to three pods. These pods produce at least two "baby beans", which will develop into fully grown adult beans. While most plants and slimes are considered "hermaphroditic" by nature, due to Kappa's genetics, the beans can be "born" male or female. Males are more trickster-like in nature, while females are known to be clumsy or ditsy. They can be identified by their large flower. Despite this, their minty scent is no different.
