For this last "Throwback Thursday" of June, 2016, I'm going out in a big way by posting three more 'photo-ops' from the New England Aquarium (Circa June, 1988) - which my brother Glenn and I visited. At the same time, I thought I'd hype Disney-Pixar's "Finding Dory" (portions of which were set at a similar facility, modeled after the Monterey Bay Aquarium on the Pacific Coast of central California). The CGI sequel to "Finding Nemo" is (at the time of this posting) America's Number One movie for the second week in a row...
One type of semi-aquatic animal you'll find at some aquariums are penguins, which was what my sibling and I came across at the Boston, Massachusetts facility. In this man-made enclosure, shaped like a small mountain, we saw a variety of different penguins - most notably 'rock climbers' - who are just as good at climbing rocks as they are at swimming in the water.
(I'm sorry about the quality of this 35mm snapshot. Of the two pix I took of the penguins, this one was the better one.)
I'll have one more picture from the NE Aquarium shortly. (You'll find lots of other 'photo-ops' I took of animals, landmarks, celebrities, and more in my 'Scraps' section. Check them out in your spare time!)
