Interesting design choice for the head, making him look almost as though he has an exposed skull.

Really awesome! Compared to the earlier design (link), they look more balanced, sleek, and strong. The fangs and feline features make them look as menacing and predatorial as a saber-toothed tiger, except one that can also swing a tree at you...

Goes without saying that I love the full-length mane. The effect is very tribal... I can just imagine them wearing warpaints, piercings, mane-ties, or other decorations for social / intimidation purposes.
