I’d wanted to make a comparison between these designs. Deep into this blog, Gen’s design was rather different, and over time, his design evolved into what we’ve been seeing. I’d like to point out some of the specific features that makes one design different from the other.

- Gen appeared much thinner back then, and began to fill out over time.

- Gen’s shirt resembled and oriental type robe, because Tanuki are usually found in Japan, Korea, China, and even Russia. I wanted to make the design look more casual and modern, but still have an oriental motif to it.

- Gen had human feet with paw pads that were a slightly lighter color of the dark fur. Only Recently, Gazpacho helped me update the design by adding pink paw pads to Gen’s hands and feet, and making his feet look more like actual paws, than just human feet.

-The Overall color scheme looked more dark and dull, and I wanted to brighten it up.

- Gen had short hair and it grew over time, which covers a small portion of his ears.

- Gen used to have thinner eyebrows.

-Gen’s older design was used until late December 2015, and begun to change by early 2016
