Straight people don't need straight pride as there is no such thing as abuse towards straight people. Religion doesn't accept it, people are too scared to admit they are gay or trans or whatever because of the abuse they get from their friends, colleagues or even their own parents.
No one is saying we aren't equal. But how dare you say that pride is shoving it in people's faces? It's to stand up for others and show them it's ok to be who you are.
I also can't believe I am having to say this on a furry website lmao.

I am extremely disappointed in what is happening to my comments section here.
On an image that is made to promote pride, equality, love, and acceptance, I’m still seeing the same ignorance that is making things like these badges necessary in the first place.
The point of pride is to fight for equality.
The reason the LGBTA+ community needs to fight for equality in the first place is due to privileged people who oppress us. The people who write us off as wanting attention, when in reality all we want is acceptance.
Don’t you dare tell me there is equality when I’ve had friends thrown out of their home for their orientation. When I know people who have been bullied, and even gotten death threats just for being gay. When just a few weeks ago, the Orlando tragedy happened.
To people who are minorities such as the LGBTA+ community, validation means everything. That is why I made these badges. To help those people feel accepted. I once made a video for a class project, promoting LBGTA+ awareness. For months afterwards, I had people coming to me during passing periods, thanking me. Telling me that they were previously afraid to come out to their friends and family, but they had been given strength to do so and were now happy.
Why do you think they were afraid to come out in the first place?
Because a sickening portion of the world still thinks that being gay is not okay.
You’ve never had to deal with not getting a job because your work discriminates against gays. You’ve never had to feel fear when you hold your loved one's hand in public, worried of what people would do or say. You’ve never had to face your family with your big secret, feel your heart hammering in your chest as you come out to them. Being sick with worry, wondering if they’ll accept you or not.
You think I’m leaving you out? You want straight pride? Great! Walk outside. Turn on the TV. Listen to the radio. It’s all around you, all the time. If you don’t feel accepted enough already, I don’t know what else to say to you.
We live in a word where “Faggot” and “That’s gay” is thrown around as a derogative term.
Check back in with me next time you hear “That’s straight” used in a derogative manner.
I’m not bashing straights, that would defeat my whole purpose of spreading love.
What I am doing is helping my fellow queer people out of the shadows. To bring them in the spotlight where they can shine without fear, like we deserve to.
I used to feel fear. I used to deny who I was, a lesbian, because I was afraid.
I made these pride badges to conquer fear. Pride festivals still happen nowadays to do the same thing.
And one day, when we are truly equal, we won’t need pride.
But for now, we do.
I suggest you take a step back and realize that before you come into my comments section and expect me to pity you.

Just stating the obvious.
No need to be butthurt because opressed people celebrate Pride~ c;
(which isn't about holding themselves above anyone else, but making it known that they exist and have the right to do so)
If you want to be equal, try treating
others with some fucking respect instead of erasing their right to exist!
I'm totally fine with LGBTAQ+, and Pride,
because they fucking deserve it after all the shit people put them through (as they have done forever)
Love IS love. And everyone matters. But straights aren't being disowned by their families, or shot and killed, or harassed in the street.
Straights don't NEED a badge. Assuming they do makes me think of that one kid who bitched and moaned if he didn't get a gift on his sibling's birthday.
Have a nice day.

I mean, there is a straight pride flag in existence, apparently. :x
However, heterosexuals aren't oppressed because of their sexuality; They're not a minority.
They might get their feelings hurt but they don't get discriminated against. :s

seriously
I'm sorry, i would reply to the actual comment, but they blocked me so i cant aha
So LGBTA+ people are beaten and killed and kicked out and abused on a daily basis, but they arent oppressed. [We are refused jobs and housing and shit, which is exactly what oppression is.]
Yet you're 'persecuted' because you you cant get a pride badge??? go ahead and get your fucking straight pride badge with you black and white flag. No one is fuckin keeping you from it. [unless ghatz refuses service to butthurt straights]
Just because no one in the fuckin art has the straight flag doesnt mean you're persecuted. persecuted: subject (someone) to hostility and ill-treatment, especially because of their race or political or religious beliefs. You arent fuckin persecuted.
[Fun fact: the first thing under 'persecuted' in the thesaurus is 'oppressed.']
Take a walk outside. There's all of you straight stuff. Go see a movie, watch some TV. There are plenty of straights included there!

now this is what's wrong with you're reasoning:
Yes, you dont need to be LGBTA+ to be shot. But people are being shot because they're LGBTA+. that's called oppression, bub. People are being kicked from their apartments, fired from jobs, beaten and killed in bathrooms because they're LGBTA+. I'm trying to say this in the simplest terms possible. Yes, people are abuse. But when people are abused solely because they're LGBTA+, it's oppression.

I feel like you're not trying to be inconsiderate, but that's unfortunately how you are coming off. Just because that's the only incident you've heard of, doesn't mean LGBT people are OK every day. They're not ): You're very lucky to have not heard of any hate crimes or abuse towards people of the community.
I would just stop where you are, honestly.
I would just stop where you are, honestly.
I just don't know why you had to start something about how the straights are feeling left out, on a commission of Pride badges. :s Heteros are lucky they don't need to feel pride for their sexuality, it's already a widely accepted thing, it's the norm by default and has been for years. No one is physically harming you or banning you from places for being heterosexual.
I'm real sorry this has become what it is on these nice lil Pride badge commissions ;;
But honestly this is exactly why we need this, why we need Pride, because we're being silenced, overshadowed, and we're being considered selfish for wanting to feel safe or have any sense of self worth or recognition. When people try to take that from us, even if they don't even realize it or mean to, it hurts. When someone says that the heteros are going to feel left out, they really shouldn't have to. They're so lucky to be accepted for how they are--I really doubt anyone gives them shit over their sexuality; No one is being kicked out of their homes, being physically harmed, or condemned from places for being heterosexual.
Sorry, I'm feelin a lil sensitive to this topic--I don't usually ever say anything cause I hate conflict but after the Orlando tragedy and a certain recent hashtag on Twitter going around, I'm losing patience ;;

!!!! preach! let your voice be heard ^D^
You are so right, This is legit textbook someone trying to silence you and this person is like the exact reason pride is so important.
Don't say sorry, what you are saying is perect. For sure better than what I could have put in words. Really sorry this person had to come and ruin this comment section too :c

you're looking down from a privileged pedestal, on a group of people who are oppressed and you are saying they aren't.
Then when 5+ members of that group come and tell you that you are wrong you are like "nah I'm not."? yikes
honestly i'm worried for you, you should really go to the hospital, never seen a skull so thick :(

So, just curious, why would you even hang around in these comments to state that you feel left out or say you want one representing your sexuality if 'pride is a bad thing' in your eyes?
Like, really?
This specific batch was commissioned by people in the LGBTA+ community, if you want one that shows off your sexuality so bad, then just order one for yourself next time.
Or don't because 'pride is bad'.
I feel that a whole load of drama and dirtyness could have been left out of the comments if you had just let it be.

It's a matter of how the tone others may take your wording--To you, it might've just been an innocent comment, but to us LGBTA+, it came off as 'Oh, but what about the straights?' It isn't that we don't want equality--Who wouldn't want that? We're just tired of what I'd mentioned above; Being silenced, overshadowed, and being considered selfish for wanting to feel safe or have any sense of self worth or recognition.
I feel like the concept of pride is a Nope.avi for you because you haven't felt or needed to have pride, at least when it comes to your sexuality; Heterosexuality, like I'd previously mentioned, is just something that's been accepted by default, so there's nothing to really push for when it comes to it.
I really don't want to fight tbh, I just want what I'm trying to say be clear/understood.
I hope what I'm saying is making some sense, cause I'm getting a lil drained atm. ;w;

That's not how I view pride tbh. What you're defining kinda sounds a little more like bragging?? Like, personally, I don't feel entitled or anything due to being LGBTA+, I'm def not the type to be like 'HEY LOOK, I'M BETTER THAN YOU' that's just terrible and I hate that kinda behavior/mentality. :s
I gotcha. Imo it's good that heteros don't need pride--Because they're already accepted in society when it comes to that. But that might not matter when there's also other things involved, like race, age, class, etc. So then those people have to worry about being oppressed and/or discriminated against due to that. If it's not one thing, it's another, unfortunately. ;;
While I do feel like it's important to have LGBTA+ be able to have the opportunity to be able to express themselves without fear, I don't feel like anyone is more special than anyone else. Everyone should be treated with respect. I wish everyone could just get along but that feels like a pipe dream, considering all the intolerance and hate in the world...
Unfortunately, it's not that easy for some people; Some just can't accept themselves due to past negative experiences. They can be affected and influenced by the opinion of others, and what other people may think may leave a lasting impression. It's not an easy thing to brush off.
It can be helpful to hear that others are supportive of you, and maybe if you get that kind of love and care from those who matter, over time you can slowly learn to love yourself, too.
That wasn't addressed to you specifically there, I was just saying that in general, aha..
I can understand why, if the word is being used to make those individuals seem more important than others. :/
Good to hear.
Yeah, unfortunately that's a subject of conflict that's been going on for some time now. :s

You may or may not want to hear this, but I am going to comment on it and hopefully you get something out of it.
When I read most of what you said, I felt the similar experiences to that of being someone who is of a different skin color than the norm of America.
When someone comes to another and says, "What about all lives matter? / All sexualities matter / All cancer matters / etc" it tends to remove the point of what the movement is about.
I understand that you feel "left out" of the whole LGBTQA+ spectrum and feel as though you should have a flag and stuff for it just like others.
Guess what my dear? You do have one. And seeing as you are someone that says you don't mind/support this community, your flag would be the black/white ally flag they have for people like us.
You want a parade for you? You get one. Every holiday.
You want merch including you? Go into a store and get it, depending on being a boy or a girl, or in Target's case as they are getting rid of it at some point, anywhere.
Anyway, point saying, don't be one of those people that go on someone's art and say what is important to them and what they fight for in their lives doesn't matter.
That's rather rude to those that have to go through things every day because of who they are.
Do not shove it to their faces the basic meanings (from your message) of "You're sexual choices don't matter and who you are doesn't matter."
If you support the people of this community, then please do not say so and then be controversial about it otherwise.
That's all I gotta say.

I love mine and i love how diverse the flags are! I am so disappointed that someone had to fill this page with such unfortunate comments.
These are so awesome!! I am very happy to have lucked out and snagged a slot for this round. I will be very proud to wear this at the local pride weekend in my area soon!

***I just read above from mr. whiny shitlord causing drama and believing he is entitled to everything because he is straight.
Let me put this out there before I say something beyond my reasonings. I am 20 years of age and am a lesbian and after 10 years of my life of questioning who I am as a person, I am FINALLY comfortable with my sexual orentation after many years of hiding, being ashamed of myself due to the hate around in the world.
I do not feel privileged due to my orentation by all means, in fact I fear for who I am. Since coming out to the public eye, I have been beaten, abused, and even raped. I fear for myself and the community, and I will NOT tolerate some asshat coming in on someones beautiful artwork because it did not have something to do with them, and their orentation.
For someone who gets mad, even upset to start an entire argument over someone who made equality and pride badges is beyond me and I will only see that as someone who has no time but to spew more hate into the world with their bullshit, and thinking they're entitled to everything due to them being straight.
Being straight is so normal now these days that if you said you were gay you might get a good job or cool, but in different parts of the states even around the world you say you're into the same sex you're hung, beaten even killed for saying that. You're not apart of anything, but your own little world because all you can do is suffer in silence.
I am well aware most of my writing does not make sense, so I do apologize in advance but for someone to spew hate on someones art work that is promoting equality in the LGBTQ+ community is just beyond me.
Thank you for reading.

I'm so sorry to hear what has happened to you. ): this individual seems.. Confused. They say "love is love" and everyone is equal yet they're putting people down by saying pride is a bad thing (maybe they're confusing it with gloating?), insulting them and denying any hate crimes against people just because it happens to other people of different communities too. Which makes standing up for it wrong?? Apparently.
Everyone deserves to feel safe within a community. Everyone is different, everyone is unique and everyone is special! And everyone has hard times. Does this mean pride shouldn't be celebrated? Of course not. I'm not even part of the community and I embrace pride. It's not hard to understand.
Anyway, I should leave this submission alone haha. Stay strong and be who you are. Try not to be scared of who you are because of other people. I know it's hard, especially with what people have done to you. I believe <3

Just so you know I printed and laminated the badge. All ready for megaplex to be worn with pride.
And to the drama above.... Just saying... Everyone who go a badge stated their sexuality? So don't be butt hurt because no straight people wanted a straight pride flag.... Though this was for LGBTA pride... :/ if that make sense

PLEASE tell me you blocked the asshole above??? Seriously, us artists don't need that kind of entitled shit on ANY posts regardless of the content.
Also is there a way to get a double badge - same character but with two different flags? I'm unsure if there's a discount for that (and I don't want that to come off as rude ;v; it's just me same character but with different flags). I was thinking of the image being flipped facing the opposite direct with two different flags so it can become a two-sided badge. If that makes sense! One for Gender Fluid and the other for the PRIDE flag (cause lesbian uwu)
I'm not sure if any of that made any sense. I'm extremely intoxicated. I apologize <3

If people want hetero pride think that should be fine, there are both hetero and ally flags which honestly I'm all for. I feel he pride movement should unite everyone. Lgbtq+ and hetero allies so everyone can.support everyone. Before I understood who I was, I grew up as a "cis het" woman, but for years I hated being considered one but thought I'd be some weirdo to even think about being male. But, a few years ago I discovered the transgender community and it all made sense. Before my discovery, though, I had received a sadly large amount of hate claiming I didn't support the community or by default I'm oppressing. So to people, especially the young ones, it can be damaging to them too, especially if they actually do support, or aren't sure about themselves, it can leave a very sour taste with the aggression.
So I feel heterosexuality, or at least the ally flags, should be far more recognized and used by those supportive. And why not give them a flag to feel more involved too yknow? Like a sort of "yes I'm straight, and I support the idea that love is love no matter what" thing that they can be proud of. Don't single out a more "accepted" sexuality because it's accepted. They have just as much control over who they are as the rest of us. Instead, include the ones who are open minded and piss on 5he assholes who refuse to accept and actually -cause- problems yknow? Just tossing my two cents in there real quick.
That aside though, this is lovely art and it makes me so happy to see these <3 I've been planning on offering ones myself as it looks fun and for a great cause. Keep up the wonderful work!
