Hey FA! I'm on a bus! It's a little hard to draw since it's bumpy, but I managed to get some colouring done - I figured I might as well toss up a few halfcanters, since I haven't offered them in a while.
I kind of fell in love with the last one, so he's gonna stick with me for now.

King's torch can affect nonwhite halfcanters! As for colours, areas of skin/fur with spores will always be black, but can temporarily become redder or more orange when the fungus attempts to propagate. If the red spores get caught in darker fur, it can also look like a burning log.
There are a couple other species of fungus that coexist synbiotically with halfcanters, I can give you rundown of them and let you take your pick, if you'd like!
