Damn this movie and this freakin' fox! I'll never look at foxes the same way again!
I spent most of the day doing this. I think Zootopia is out of my system for a little while, at least until I get another page of the comic done. These two are hard to resist. Sorry for the line in the middle, the original sheet is 11x14.

The directors made the end of the film pretty ambiguous (or so they thought!), and were stunned at how the fans were split straight down the middle as to whether they should be/shouldn't be together.
I prefer to think of them as being together, and it's not as if the hints towards it *aren't* there (per example, the six month timeframe that Nick held onto Judy's carrot pen and his determination to not leave her to face Mayor Bellwether alone in the Natural History Museum, the way Judy says his name in the exhibit as he advances on her as a predator, Nick standing up to Bogo on Judy's behalf, etc).
Big fan of the film and of the many, MANY easter eggs in that film. The "Breaking Baaaad" cameos of Walter and Jesse was my laugh out loud moment in the cinema, along with Mr Big's Godfather speech. Those moments left me grinning and still leaves me smiling =D
Gosh I *adore* these two! And I especially love that adorable two-part image at the bottom left there <3 <3 <3

In an interview I saw, they directors were totally open to the idea of them together. I just want to see it done right and not done just for the sake of hooking them up. As for that six months time frame. I felt it was more a deep bond of friendship than romance. Nick really wanted someone to believe in him, and Judy really did. But that hip-bump she does at the Gazelle concert, THAT was a 'hey baby.'
Good stuff. They left that movie open to so many possibilities.
