Was about to say you need more than just a case.
I'm probably going to put off upgrading my 780 for a while because I wanna get a new laptop with a mobile 10 series in it. A shitty 9 year old XPS with a a GS 8600m (yea, two zeroes)that overheats playing adventure capitalist just isn't cutting it anymore.
What kinda games you play?

I sure hope some dumbass didn't give you the wrong advice about the parts you need. That'd be a perfectly good waste of a DVD-ROM drive.
Don't forget to pee on the parts before you install them. They need to know who their new Master is, otherwise your PC will disrespect you forever.

You're mistaken. You can only turn a DVD-ROM drive into a cup-holder or dildo-holder. The CD tray won't support the weight of a silicon or rubber toy. I Others have tried.
It's customary to break a champagne bottle over the nose of the case, though, once it's up and running and completely configured.

bottom left is wifi AC + blutooth 4.1
PSU box is twice as big as the block
Cuz win10 has such a sour taste in my mouth over the data mining and dirty tricks they been doing to force it on everyone.
There's a 2TB HDD underneath the SSD, forgot to but beside.
what you mean by the heatsink comment? lol.

yeah i ordered online so didn't realize the bluetooth antenna is outside the box. :\
i meant the contents of the PSU box are much smaller than the box
I work in multimedia/TV so i use a lot of video.
cuz I spent the last of my money on the last parts so don't have any more for watercooling. :b

I use a program called Spybot Anti-Beacon that kills all the data mining processes and removes the registry keys. Made by a reputable, trustworthy security firm.
But yea I was researching air-cooling vs water-cooling and they say that you have to make sure your case can fit those monster heatsinks if you wanna use them.

A friend of mine uses Windows 10... baring the underhanded bullshit Microsoft has been doing regarding it's attempts at force-implementation, the operating environment alone is enough to make me want throw the tower.
"But you can just use the classic interface." You mean the pared down classic interface that forces you to, at some point, NEED to use the new interface over? No... just no. Windows 10 is garbage for anything BUT a tablet and, really, who uses a tablet for anything genuinely serious?

Well I guess everyone feels differently. I think 10 is pretty good. Now I agree that 8/8.1 felt like it deserved to be on a tablet, yea. 10 does still have some features of 8 but I like it a loooot more than 8.
I also do actually have a tablet with 10 on it and it does work very very well in that situation XD

My last computer (also an EVGA build) spent just over a year as a franken-puter scattered across a shelf connected by cables before I was able to find a good case to hold the EATX monstrosity. As long as you support everything and keep the mobo safe (I had it sitting on the zero-stat sleeve on top of the box it shipped in) you can run with no problems.
My current computer (a Gigabyte Skylake build done in January) is about to get some upgrades and will likely run shakedown outside of the case for convenience in testing/tweaking. It's really not a bad way to break in your new system.
Good luck with the build! 8-)

Can't wait to upgrade, but is poor fox.
AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition, OC'd to 3.7GHz
2x4GB DDR3 G.SKILL Ripjaws X @ 1333MHz (planning to upgrade to 4x4GB)
ASUS GTX 750Ti 2GB GDDR5
WD Caviar Black 1TB SATA3
NZXT Phantom (the original badass - want to get the Phantom 820 - massive fucker of a tower <3)

If you get the chance to. hold off until you can get a GTX 1080. preferably one of the AMD or EVGA versions of it. it's only a single 8 pin PCI connection to the power supply. easily one of the THE lowest power draw cards while also being one of the most powerful. Infact. It is THE most powerful cards so far.
at the risk of sounding like a complete tool. If you live near me, I would happily give you a case and if you had the patience. I could probably find you a video card and you have to look up the drivers for it, but at least you have something to work with. I've got around nine or 10 gaming towers in different parts of the house, so I wouldn't mind giving you one. I even got a brand-new power supplied in the box Laying in a pile of stuff in the kitchen that I ended up with that would probably be enough for what you're doing. I am surprised at what people used to pay for those gaming towers and I at one point started getting them where people were throwing them out. They only had single core board and ship so I threw out the boards and ships a couple of don't look that great, but most of them are in really good shape. I'm wondering what your old system is that you're complaining about it? Is it a single core or a multicore system? I'm looking for multicore board and processor with RAM if anybody's getting rid of them. I've got to that I know are working and a third one that I'm not sure yet. The one I'm not sure is a fairly expensive gaming system and I haven't gotten around to it. Guy gave it to me for some old videogame stuff. Four core system with like a gauge of RAM couple of large hard drives more than likely you want the video card from that thing, but I'm going to use it. LOL. Hasn't got an operating system in the hard drive so I never tried running the machine yet. Trying to get around to getting a handful of small hard drives so that I can rig up a series of computers running Windows, XP 64-bit version so that I can set each one up running poser seven for doing parts of rendering work. At this point the only thing I haven't gotten a hold of is the hard drives. I don't see any point in using a 200 two 500 gig hard drive to run a 4 GB operating system and there won't be anything else on the machines. That looks like a nice rotor you've got there. If you are dealing with the Internet I have here you'd probably move to Cuba we only get 6. Something mbs and they consider that high speed . Most people in the US with cheap Internet are getting between 30 and 50 mbs;)
There are people that bust on Media Center Form factor PCs but I have mine in a Silverstone Media PC case. It fits everything and is no bigger than my A/V Reciever while still being quite cool considering it;s placement. It can even be rackmounted if I ever get fancy. Consider all of your options when buying a case love.
I'm personally being a scrub and buying one already put together in a week, since it seems like a good setup - https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product.....=AFB7JRYDQ1IGW
Apart from Win10, but that can be easily sorted with the install files I keep on this here pendrive.

I decided on a GTX 1050 Ti. Then I thought, no, a 1060 with 6GB would be better.
After looking at other builds similar to mine, it seemed a 1070 was more in line with an i7 7700K and 32GB of 3000MHz RAM.
Then I spotted a new MSI GTX1080 Armor 8GB being sold for the price of a slightly expensive 1070 ...
And that's how I started out wanting a 1050 and ended up with a 1080.
I also have an AMD Firepro W5000 that I bought second hand. I want to add it because it supports 10 bit colour and so does my monitor. So ultimately I hope to have the 1080 for games and the W5000 for photoshop.
My new system ended up costing four times my original budget.

mine was almost 3 times, haha. I know the painful feeling. TwT
Currently my 2 monitors have different color output and have no idea how to tell which is right. :\
So A new monitor is the next big thing on the wishlist.
...which could easily turn the final cost into 4 times the original budget. :'D
