My friends back home reminded me I used to do a lot of purely pencil work. . . and I've sort of gotten away from it. So I gave it another go. These little critters emerged. They're marsupials called 'sugar gliders'. Look 'em up some time. . . adorable.
This piece also pains me with concern, specifically because of my inexperience with art shows. This is one of the original pieces going up in the art show at FWA, and I just don't know what to charge for it. I'm afraid if I post too low, it'll get just the minimum number of bids to sell. . . and for far less than the hours I put into it are worth. And I'm afraid if I post it too high, NO one will bid on it. . . .
Anyone out there got any suggestions?

What a good art mentor (nambroth) told me, charge what you feel it is worth. If the piece means a lot to you, don't let it go at a price you will regret later. Given time, the right buyer will come around.
But here comes the problem, what does an artist do when bills pile up and money is needed and you can't wait forever? Well you have to do what is best for you. I have some pieces I wouldn't dare part with for less than they are truly worth. However I have some pieces that wouldn't leave me in regret if they sold for the amount of money I needed at the time.
Auctions are tricky, sometimes you get lucky and many people love the piece and fight over it. Other times, a couple bids are placed and the piece is sold. Best of luck though and may you have a wonderful time regardless of sales
