I switched many of my MSDRS drivers to NOWRA, the National Open Wheel Racing Association, which is an IndyCar-type league with anthro drivers. Here is a heartwarming story and picture series.
It was mid-afternoon in Speedway, IN, the suburb of Indianapolis which hosts the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, and Phil Largetail, the biggest name in NOWRA today just won his fifth Central Indiana 500. The Central Indiana 500 is the biggest event on the NOWRA Mtn Dew Championship Series schedule, and is obviously modeled after the Indianapolis 500.
When the drivers got done racing, and with post-race interviews with TV and Radio analysts, they all took off their racing suits, the majority wearing T shirts and either bootyshorts or briefs/pro wrestling-style trunks, and their bodies were all musky and strong-smelling.
NOWRA rookie Daveybird Randle was getting ready to pack his car up in the trailer, when his idol walked over by his pits.
"Nice running, kid, you're gonna be a legend someday, like I'm shaping out to be," said Phil.
"Thanks! I can't believe it, I get an up-close and personal talk with the face of the entire NOWRA league!" Daveybird exclaimed with joy.
"You know what, I really dig your passion for doing what you do in racing, and in other industries. You get a boatload of haters who try to discourage you from doing what you love, how you enjoy it, and for the reasons you love it, and try to brainwash you, and trick you into living their 'truth,' but you do get a little pissed, and the amount you get is decreasing year after year, you're becoming more callous, more mature, more used to the norm on the internet and at the racetracks. Above all, you enjoy being yourself, no matter how many enemies you make. You're technically not harming them, so it's 100% okay!" said the peacock, having a heart-to-heart discussion with the young gun Cardinal.
"Thank you so much!" Said Daveybird, "I would never have thought you would be so open-minded, being one of the first names people think of when thinking about this sport and industry, plagued with narrow-mindedness, bigotry, and age-old tradition."
"You know something," said Phil, "I hear you have Asperger's, and that's part of the reason you are so unorthodox in what you like. I also have the same diagnosis. If you notice, I have huge hips, thighs, knees, butt, I'm quite proper and sophisticated, some would even call me a little effeminate. People made fun of my big, beautiful, voluptuous legs in middle school and high school, and in my early days of racing short track Modifieds, when I was a mid-late teenager, and I posted plenty of selfies, especially on DeviantArt and FurAffinity, this might have even been before the word "selfie" was coined, I got nothing but hate comments. All that did was cause me to fight even harder, for both male and female voluptuousness, and to get even further in my racing career than I had originally planned. Now, I'm 29, going on 30, and I'm the winningest driver in the NOWRA Mtn Dew Championship Series. I always stayed strong, and was never someone who I was not. I can obviously see the connection and similarities between you and me," said Phil.
"Wow!" said Daveybird, "I never knew all that stuff about you, I didn't even know you were interested in Modifieds!!"
"Yup, that's how I cut my teeth back in the day," said Phil, "most of the rednecks who watch Modified and Sprint Car racing don't see any similarity between Modifieds, Sprint Cars and Midgets, and Indy Cars. They say things like, 'sprint cars race on dirt and have a wing on the top instead of the front,' and other things that, while they are mostly true, they are blind to see the similarities between dirt and short oval open wheel cars, and big name open wheel cars. I used to tell them, 'if you look at a picture of an Indy Car from the '30s to the '50s, and look at a Sprint Car or midget from that same era, the Sprint Cars and Midgets from back then look like a smaller Indy Car from the same time. You've gotta ignore these people, and know in your heart what's right. Come follow me, I'll show you my car."
