Cigar review of the Week: D. Sideshow 2-Headed Nightingale
4 down, 4 to go!
Now to take to the skies my friends.
Diesel Sideshow Two-Headed Nightingale:
Wrapper: N/A
Binder: N/A
Filler: N/A
Pre-light/Construction:
This was a weird barbor pole wrapper if I've ever seen one.
This time however, both caps were not only dark, but had to be cut.
Mid oily and smooth to the touch, this was unique not just in shape, but feel too.
The Burn Part 1:
The first few puffs started out a little bit dry until the pepper notes became more floral. Draw was great. A hint of oak was paving the way to set an outdoor feel. Was a calm start with this for the first part. Body is medium currently.
The Burn Part 2:
At this point the notes stayed the same until a bit of nutmeg came into the mix, giving a sweet note balance like the usual sticks I review. At the halfway mark the notes became a little more heavier with each puff. Even with the build up in the body, the notes pretty much stayed the same. Still the build up in body was about to jumble my head.
The Burn Final:
At the near stretch this stick was literally pecking at my head in the body build up.The Oaky notes became a little more cedary with a little sugar sweet after retro hale. The pepper backed up a little bit and the nutmeg slightly changed a little, but mainly the front runner was the oak and cedar. By this point I was near done and spinning. Put her in the ashtray and took a swig of some strong bow afterwards.
Verdict:
Like the other Sideshow sticks, this was a treat for the day. Especially since I find barbor pole wrappers a unique take in flavor. Give this guy a try and make sure your head is ready too.
