When Rourkie approached Winston about the all-expenses paid cruise he was asked to review in his blog, offering him a free ticket after one of his other friends canceled, the pudgy rabbit couldn't say no. Sun, fun, relaxation, an all-expenses paid trip? How could he say no? The cruise certainly delivered on his expectations, and perhaps over-delivered in some respects. The buffets were open 24/7, and his somewhat larger friend was certainly fond of visiting for a quick meal or a pick-me-up between activities. It wasn't long before the staff knew the rabbits by name, and recognizing Rourkie as a travel blogger, it wasn't long before they had special dishes prepared for their two most enthusiastic diners on a regular basis.

Just a couple days into the cruise, Rourkie noticed that Winston had really started packing on the pounds. Although he knew he also wasn't the most slender of rabbits, (having to admit he'd put on a bit more weight than he thought in the last year, when they had their tux fitted when his size was a lot higher than he expected,) the large lapine had definitely noticed his blue bunny friend was blimping up like a balloon. He wasn't surprised - going up for seconds and thirds and fourths, the rabbit was taking full advantage of the meal plans, and wearing nothing but his bathing suit meant that Winston was free to gorge as much as he liked with little to restrict his expanding belly. He just hoped his friend didn't notice it was getting harder and harder to pull up his swimming trunks, he didn't want to embarrass the sightly shy rabbit when he was having so much fun.

Winston watched with some amusement as Rourkie tried to pull his shorts up past his hips, relaxing on the cabin bed as he snacked on a complimentary fruit and cheesecake tray the staff had sent to their room. The brown bunny was hopping around the cabin, trying to get the garment to fit, slightly cursing the staff for shrinking the only wardrobe he had them wash during the trip. Finally succeeding in fitting most of his large rabbit rear into the strained fabric, the synthetic material didn't last long as he bent over to pick his towel off the floor, the 3XL bathing suit emitting a loud SHRRRRRIP. Frowning, Rourkie looked over at Winston, who started howling with glee at the antics. Somewhat grumbly, the larger rabbit phoned the concierge to see if they had any spares.

Both rabbits continued to indulge over the course of the 18 day trip. The cruise was happy to provide them both with new swimsuits throughout the journey, though as a courtesy they failed to mention they sized up for their lardy lapines, not wanting to insult the customers who were clearly enjoying the culinary confections the ship had to offer, and with such gusto. It was great publicity for the cruise, too, as sales had skyrocketed after Rourkie's reviews of the trip were posted each night; the staff did everything they could to make the two rabbits comfortable, which included ignoring the obvious growth they both had experienced. Of course, all good things had to come to an end. The night before the cruise was over, all the guests were invited to a formal captain's dinner. After weeks of indulging, gorging, and all around lazing, the two rabbits discover the tuxes which fit a little loose before the trip were woefully inadequate, as both bunnies began to realize just how much they'd grown in two and a half weeks.
