AVALANCHE RAM (Fan Reploid)
MISSION OBJECTIVE
An old member of the now-retired Repliforce, Avalanche Ram had been reported missing since the Maverick Wars broke out. Our sources have recently tracked his location out in the arctic wasteland and he appears to be malfunctioning. Brave the hostile weather and subdue his rampage!
I'm a big fan of the Megaman games, especially the X series, so I decided to try my hand at designing 8 brand new Reploid/Maverick bosses of my own. I've always loved their mecha animal designs!
As you can probably tell, this Reploid would be the token ice element boss. I like to imagine his fight would be an infuriating one with ice annoying physics!
I have the other 7 to work on and they'll all be traditionally drawn like this! Sadly not all markers survived this picture...

Thank you, I've always loved the design of Mavericks and this was a nice welcome break from what I normally draw. The other ones I'm working on are Turbine Orca, Razor Porcupine, Mach Cheetah, Acid Hyena (so I can do hyena Reploids justice instead of...ugh, "BURN TO THE GROUND!!"), Sting-Tailed Lemur, Shred Polar(bear) and a gryphon based on one a sona of a friend haha. Some cheesy names in there but that's a given!
It's crazy, I have the big art book that has all the original and X series concept art and there are some images I thought were digital but it turns out they used airbrush pens. There's also some pencil and most the manual art/Maverick splashes were coloured with markers, it's such a good look!
Traditional is still my go-to art medium but I guess I unintentionally paid homage to how the old X illustrations were coloured too!

Oh shit you like the Mega Man games??? Awesome!! I knew there was another reason I liked you. He’s got a great design btw. I’m more a fan of the classic series and I’m even designing my own robot masters but then again the X series has dozens of furries in its still amazing.

YEAH I LIKE DA MEGUHMUNZ. Don't make me choose between X or Classic because I'll just say both!
I have a few sketches and ideas for other fan Maverick/Reploids but I think I may also give this guy a slight overhaul to look more ice-y. I'm glad you still like him though!
