"Slender fingers tread ever lightly
upon hallowed roads of jet and ivory.
Singing high a resonant tune,
reaching up to touch the moon.
Amber rays caress the field,
nurturing a bounty yet to yield.
Nascent stalks tip and sway
as she plays away another day."
I haven't been writing much lately. Trying to get these summer classes paid for has drained me of pretty much any creative inspiration, but thankfully I was able to push this out today with some concerted effort. I really hate 'forcing' poetry, but I hate not being productive for long stretches of time even more. Hopefully I didn't botch this up too much in the process. I'll try to be more consistent once this monkey is off my back.
Thanks for reading.
