Heh, the Moomin. Being Swedish they were a pretty much a big and strange part of my childhood. They are always portrayed with having Finnish accents over here (due to their Finnish orgin), not sure about elsewhere.
I find it funny for characters that was mostly popular within Sweden and Finland, the animated series was made in Japan and apparently made it more wellknown worldwide after that.

ムーミンについて、ＷＩＫＩで調べてみたら、原作者とのトラブルがあったようで、
第一期シリーズは、日本国内のみ、放映だったようです。
When the Moomin was examined with WIKI, there was a trouble with the original writer, and only Japan seems to have been telecast to the first stage series.
たとえば、下記の映像の様に、”ＮＯ ＭＯＮＥＹ，ＮＯ ＦＩＧＨＴ，ＮＯＣＡＲ”の原作者の精神に反していたようです。
For instance, it seems to have contradicted the spirit of the original writer of "NO MONEY, NO FIGHT, and NO CAR" like the following image.
