Who the hell would leave a giant cross in the middle of the desert?
I was originally trying to work on a different piece, but got unhappy with where it was going. So I turned to an old idea and made this instead. A very enjoyable painting to work on, especially the lighting and colours on the cross were an interesting challenge. Another thing I am starting to use more often is changing the aspect ratio of textured brushes. It is incredibly useful for painting textures in perspective.
