Unlike my usual habit of uploading videos with pithy little poetic write-ups, I'm going to simply lay down tons of links to melancholy music which accompanies the mood of this drawing. I went through a few of these while doodling it and I thought it might be nice just to share some music along with the upload.

Thank you for reminding me of that addicting drug called melancholy, Rebel Waltz is my personal favorite on that list.
As a conoussier of melancholy, I got some recommendations myself.
A Black Eye To Be Proud Of by Pinetop Seven
Amsterdam by The Lofty Pillars
Dust of Ages by Eels
Invisible Hands by Joseph Arthur
Sad Pony Gorrilla Girl by Xiu Xiu
And that's just music I found from the aughts.
As a conoussier of melancholy, I got some recommendations myself.

Amsterdam by The Lofty Pillars

Invisible Hands by Joseph Arthur
Sad Pony Gorrilla Girl by Xiu Xiu

The standout star to me in that is Dust of Ages. But overall I detect a sort of Tom Waits/Leonard Cohen vibe and influence, and maybe one other group or artist I can't think of right now. o w o

The Recluse is an easy winner here, although it's always nice to hear Serge Gainsbourg.
Dust of Ages is wonderful, however give that Pinetop Seven album a listen sometime. That song in particular keeps growing on me, right now its something like my favorite song of the 2000s decade (although there are some compositions I like more).
