That armour ruin the fur? I've always been to scared to put my steel over my fur after seeing what it does to everything else.

Nah. They get along just nice. Here's the composition:

Fursuit
Cloth gambeson
Chainmail
Brigadine (leather and cloth covered scalemail

If you are scared of putting metal over your fursuit but wish to armor yourself, brigandine is a good choice for armor

Ive got steel lamellar, plate arms and legs. they wreck what ever is under it. https://scontent-syd1-1.xx.fbcdn.ne.....20041975_o.jpg I'm in the steel and blue. I have worn the head with it. Dont trust the fur not to catch between the lames... btw that was this weekend, my team came a very close 2nd

As for the case of wrecking lamellars, have you tried double-padded cloth underneath?

I'd have to make a special gambeson to fit over the fursuit. Back of the lamellar is open right now. In the future I'd like a leather coat under it with attached voiders for the armpits.... one of many projects
