So, I thought I would quickly throw up some of the art I've done for The Pirate's Fate so far. Depending on how many main characters we end up using and what sort of interest there is I might try to make this a regular thing. Don't worry though, I'll endeavor to avoid spoilers.
As such here is main protagonist of the game, Mila! Mila is a merchant who starts the game in possession of a single coin of the enchanted treasure that the crew seeks, which she wears as a necklace. The coin’s inscription reads “become what you seek.” Waking up on the Dread Pirates' ship, supposedly having been rescued by the crew following a storm that capsized her own boat, the ship's Captain, Darious, invites her to help them seek the rest of the treasure, and all the glory it has to offer.
When I was working up the concept art for Mila, I decided to give her an atypical, but still coastal, design to try to reinforce that she is a foreigner and contrast her with the rest of the crew. To do this I tried to look less to European outfits and more Moroccan, Mediterranean, and Eastern elements. Plus, putting her in fairly baggy clothing works to keep her body type rather muted, which will help distinguish it from her later transformations more clearly.
I rather enjoyed coming up with her color palette actually, as I found it to be a fun challenge to use tropical colors without using strictly a standard pirate's outfit. We also made her a cat to start primarily because we wanted a very middle of the road type of character that could both easily undergo a wide variety of transformations while not being too exotic or specialized to start.

Good question. Currently our plan is to first get on Steam and go from there since it will, hopefully, increase our ability to more easily put the game elsewhere. Once we accomplish that we plan to look into additional outlets and see what viable options will work for us.
If we get to that point we will be sure to announce an update to everyone as to our plan.
