Yeah, it's mostly going by their appearance and what roles you'd think they'd fill.
A pretty solid team though. You'd have some freedom on how you want to specialize characters, so Knight wouldn't just be a tank but he could be built as a damage dealer if you so wish.
Though I think I might make it hard for Rez to be in the same team as Cleric because he's undead and would be hurt by normal healing magic.
Lyra's songs, Duke's Qi healing, recovery items, and possibly heals from Knight would work on Rez though. Otherwise Rez can heal himself with Pain spells, just don't use those spells on the party, hehe heh. c:
