A character reference sheet for Kryslin, the female hybrid felitaur. She has mostly lynx features and coloration - with a bit of tiger and snowleopard physiology mixed in (lower body mass and long tail).
Kryslin is copyright her creator.
And the artwork is done with micron ink and acrylic paint on 9"x12" illustration board; text added in Photoshop.

I think the sketch for this one took me 4 hours - and the painting was something like 10 hours I think. There was a lot of digital cleanup to do, also, because I scan in multiple pieces, which creates shadows I have to go in and erase by hand, so that tacked on a couple more hours to it, including the text. So, altogether probably 16 hours...
I can recommend this scanner if you are looking for a large bed scanner without paying an insanely high price for one. The interface is kinda archaic but it works well and will not cost you an arm and a leg.
I ordered mine and they got it here the next day, with regular shipping.

I've been tempted for years by the Mustek scanners, but just be aware that they're cheap for a reason. Don't expect a brilliant result from one. Maybe they've improved though, so if you do get one, let me know what it's like. I'm tired of trying to fit things on an A4 flatbed too.
Well, you could send me a private message, or email me at kacey[at]otonashi.net - and let me know what kind of piece you are interested in, and I can give you a price quote =). And if its something you are interested in and fits your budget, then we go on from there ^.^!
Thanks very much =D Thats a cool thing to hear!... I think with taurs, people either love them or really don't like them, because they are so unusual. For me, I never found them unusual because I grew up loving the centaurs from Disney's Fantasia, so they always seemed like a fairly normal physique to me, for a cartoon character ^.^.
First, I have to thank Kacey for doing a wonderful job on the reference sheet.
Secondly, thanks for all the compliments on Kryslin's appearance. Don't expect her to believe you, though.
Third, Kryslin's age is a difficult thing to pin down, if you don't know the character - the body is a good deal younger than the mind in it.
This is actually the last piece of five I had commissioned, the other four being three standard reference poses (top, left, front) and some details, so a 3D model can be comissioned. (Yes, Earl - You know who will be doing the work.) As has been mentioned, this is from a story I've been writing called "A Four Footed Tale"; right now, it's only available to members of the AnthroLiteraryArts Yahoogroup. In the future, though, who knows?

Par for the course, I’m late again.
Very nice kitten-taur Kacey.
And now I know who wants to look ‘down’ on my poor little Shadowcrest (who looks older than shi is.)
