15 days we've been out so far. Haven't seen hide nor hair of Charlie since we left the FOB, and hopefully things stay that way. I somehow suspect that the shortage of cigarettes will kill us first though. Hell, we've got a chronic shortage of everything: ammo, workable weapons, clean clothes, good men, and leaders that give two shits what happens to us. Things could be worse though: I celebrated my 19th birthday yesterday and the Sarge gave me an extra ration. Expired of course, like all the rest, but I appreciated it all the same.
