The Red Dragon

The national flag of Wales features a red dragon with four legs and a pair of bat-like wings; it has a long barbed tongue, cow-like ears, a pointed nose and a sharp barb on the end of its tail. These large dragons prefer living in mountain caves, close to springs or river sources.

The sighting of a red dragon is also associated with the coming of King Arthur, whose father was names Uther Pendragon (Dragons Head).
