Eeek! How could I not remember this or notice this after all this time? Although I'm not too sure about continuing the world this character is set in. I might adapt him somehow into my current universe. The "Countdown" story was originally supposed to be part of it but I'm not 100% sure anymore. Also these days I don't incorporate as much RR stuff into my work and creative endeavors, but I'll never forget it as an inspiration.
I kind feel the same, that's why I updated my "Rock" some onto his current looks.
