Sorry for the resubmitting, I just discovered .txt will show on the page, where as the .rtf will have to be downloaded xD If anyone can suggest any free programs I can use to write in which can give me text formatting while still not requiring a download to read... I'd love it! 
What sort of text formatting are you looking for?
Indentation and easy readabillity can be achieved with things like Notepad++ and the likes. If you want to have stuff like bold text or such, you will have to either make it a downloadable format or use FAs notation such as Bold ([b ] ____ [/b ])
