This is one of two mostly identical shots, taken to compare lenses. This image was shot with a Canon EOS 40D using a Canon 100-400 L IS lens, at the 400 mm setting. Because this camera does not have a full-sized sensor, I think the effective lens length is slightly over 500 mm or so. This shot was taken to provide a comparison against a new lens that I bought (see Two Lions at 500mm) last week.
