Finally got around to a rewrite I've been mentioning for what? Two years now? Anyway, once upon a time back when I wrote my first superfur stories (back when I was in college so... eight or nine years ago now) I created a crappy "team" of muscle furs to serve as antagonists for my fatfur heroes because that's a tale as old as the fatfur fandom. Anyway, they had very little cohesion in uniform or... anything really. So yeah they sucked, at least in appearance, and I've been revising their concept for the past couple years. The main reason they weren't out sooner was because they were supposed to play a part in the MoX storyline that is now being dropped and retconned out of the universe. MoX was in short, a drug that gave normal people superpowers at the expense of extreme addiction and requiring the blood of a mutant/mutated metabeing to make. It was supposed to be a metaphor about all power coming with a price of some sort yet ultimately the story fell by the wayside because frankly I'm not very good at writing the high-brow stuff and the fandom isn't good at reading it.
Anyway with their main purpose gone, the team sat more or less in limbo except for the additions of Recharge and Pancake Queen. Still trying to figure out something to do with them now that their main story is getting tossed but suffice to say this document is a rough draft and things can get dropped or added all the time.
All-Stars Team Bio
By Psion
Part of the Silicon City setting
All Rights Reserved
Name: All-Stars
World of Origin: Silicon City
Overview: Sponsored team of registered corporate supers working for Omega Industries, a massive health and fitness conglomerate. With the exception of Coach and Lineman, a group of loose morals in it for either a paycheck or personal vanity.
Members:
· Striker (Timber Wolf, M): Brick super with strength, durability, and minor super speed. Vain and egotistical. (Revised version of Alpha Wolf)
· Lineman (Draft Horse, M): Powerful brick super with immense strength and durability. Dutiful, selfless, and fairly even-keeled. Coach sometimes wonders why he joined the team. (Revised version of Work Horse)
· Spirit (White Rabbit, F): Bubbly airhead metamorph with elasticity powers, reasonably good person at heart but she can’t exactly argue with the generous paycheck from Omega either. (Revised version of Elasta-Bunny)
· Goalie (Raccoon, F): Aloof, withdrawn armored gadgeteer with suspected molecular manipulation or technokinetic powers. Socially withdrawn, has hidden feelings for Spirit. (Revised version of Rocket Coon)
· Touch Down (Sliver Fox, F): Energy controller with the ability to project beams of energy and heal wounds. Easily the most mercenarily/money-hungry member of the team, strongly dislikes the company costume she was fitted with.
· Pancake Queen (Domestic Cow, F): Former super-powered wrestler and pit fighter, signed on for a steady paycheck. Bottom-heavy heavyweight wrestler and as such a bit chubbier then the rest of the team. Takes no small amount of flak from Striker and Touch Down because of it.
· Recharge (Panda, M): Effeminate male panda, survivor of the Aphrodite City Crisis that works for Omega Industries. Team sports doctor and biochemist skilled in both alternative medicines and traditional sports pharmacology, has a back and forth spat with Striker over Recharge’s perceived sexual orientation.
· Coach (Calico Cat, M): Athletically-built telepath in his mid-thirties that has the unenviable task of coordinating a team of highly-trained corporate supers that are often more concerned with a paycheck and self-promotion then fighting the good fight.
Tactics: When throwing down against evil in the name of Omega Industries or just to trash the guy who scuffed up the team bus, the All-Stars have a fairly simple order of battle. Striker and Lineman upfront, the brick supers forming a solid offensive wall against interlopers, and Goalie hanging back behind them to deal with stranglers. Spirit usually stands between Goalie and the males, striking at flanking enemies or harassing foes before retreating behind the defensive line set up by Goalie. Touch Down and Coach tend to spend more time off the field then on it but when they do, TD’s blaster powers and Coach’s telepathy often mean the Stars are about to steamroll the opposition.
Strengths: Well-equipped and fairly well trained super team conditioned to work together like a finely oiled machine. Variety of powers and gadgetry makes them a well-balanced team capable of conquering most threats.
Weakness: [Author’s Note: the Omega MoX drug is in the process of being written out of the Silicon City canon. As such the All-Stars no longer receive their powers from the drug. They still have other weaknesses.] If the All-Stars have one critical weakness, it’s their dependence on Coach to provide direction both on and off the field. Striker and Spirit in particular cannot plan their way out of a paper bag while the others can improvise and hold their own with varying degrees of effectiveness when their connection to Coach is severed.
Tactical Assessment: Tactics and teamwork make the All-Stars a difficult proposition to take down. As a group, they’re extremely difficult to take down and able to successfully fend off many times their number. Attacking this team alone or head-on is ill advised; they are best approached in a group and with a smart plan in mind. If caught alone or otherwise separated, their threat level drops but they will make every effort to regroup if this happens.
Costumes: Sports theme, no masks. Team color scheme is a patriotic mix of red, white, and blue.
· Striker and Lineman: Chest armor, tight pants, and boots reminiscent of American football players. Heads protected by football helmets with polarized faceplates.
· Goalie: Bulletproof polymer armor resembling a hockey goalie, heavily armored in the front, slightly less so from behind.
· Spirit and Touch Down: Stylized cheerleader outfits with blouse, thigh-length skirts, and knee-high boots. Touch Down discreetly wears a pair of shorts under her skirt, nothing significant but enough to maintain a semblance of modesty when the wind happens to blow the wrong way.
· Pancake Queen: Wrestling unitard dyed the team’s colors.
· Coach and Recharge: Tracksuit made out of armored fabrics and dyed the team’s colors.
