I decided to do a little fan art of Maki from Airmaster delivering a spin kick to Hakufu from Ikkitousen. I don't know how a fight between them would really go, but both anime series have some good fight so check it out if you have the time. Feel free to respond.

I have only seen the Airmaster anime, so I don't know how much substance the manga have, but as for ikkitousen. The cast is just more colorful then airmasters since they are the reincarnation of Chinese warlords, and aside from Maki, and the outstanding fight sequence, Airmaster cast isn't all that it crack up to be.
I see your point, but I often gravitate to the extended cast of ikkitousen more than Airmaster. For instance, Kanu being this fierce warrior and loyal to her friend is something I can relate to, or the tragic story of Ryofu just speak more than Maki friends. One character I can't remember her name but is some munchkin character is so annoying she totally turn be off from the show. Also, the show make it seem its perfectly okay to sympathize and cheer for a rapist, who is constantly hitting on Airmaster and he never get his comeuppance . Maki cool, but I take someone like Ryomou over any of the other supporting character in Airmaster. Just because their fanservice in Ikkitousen doesn't make it a bad show.
