A very successful trip to the Denver Zoo where I lingered for quite a long time watching the two male bachelors hanging out and generally posing. At one point, they stood up, moved closer and I got this wonderful, amazing shot that made me do a little happy dance. Right there in front of the observation window. It was so cool!

Weston, (yes THAT Weston) was asked the secrete to his great photos.
"f-8 and be there", was his answer.
As true today as it was 100 years ago.

It is a great treat, and I often try to get out to other zoos as well...I especially like Busch Gardens in Florida, not only for the animals but for the great hyooman watching opportunities too!!

Thanks much for the fav! These guys were so cooperative in their posing it was awesome, although I think I caused some concern with the other viewers during my "got the shot" dance!

nice photo! I think it would look really neat if you cropped it at their ears and the side of the right lion's mane maybe a little on the left too to show a detail of their faces and really show their emotions.
