So luckily enough for me,
Yookey was doing a set of YCH's where adults were put in cubby situations...and this one was still open! I couldn't resist snagging it because it's the perfect pic for me.
Ever since I felt my cubby desires, I've always enjoyed some of the old-timey "classic" baby things. I always like bonnets and booties, as well as prams/baby carriages. But one item I've never gotten in a commission before is a cradle.
Even though Yookey originally called this a crib, I like the idea of it being a cradle. There's just something about it...it makes me think of a little girl getting one of her boy friends to have to dress up like a baby so she can treat him like one for fun. So I picture the idea of some girl dressing Digitz up like this and putting him in a cradle...it's wonderful to me.
It's funny because I think Yookey meant for these pics to fit the idea of an adult babyfur wanting to act like a cub and realizing hte baby furniture is too small. So looking at this pic, that would be your initial thought...that Digitz wanted to hop into a baby cradle but realized it was too small.
But I prefer the idea of Sonia or Michelle choosing to dress Digitz up like this (with cloth diaper, shirt, bonnet, booties, and paci, of course), and plopping him down into a baby cradle, knowing that it's too small for him. It makes it look sillier and makes him look more like a baby, IMO. I really love that idea, and the idea of him blushing because of it.
I really love how Yookey drew this one. I particularly like how the shading makes the baby blue shirt and booties kind of shine and stand out.
It's a fantastic pic and right up my alley!

You know, that's the crazy thing about babyfur/cub art. It's so hard to get across to non-babyfurs because the natural assumption is that it's associated with child pornography or pedophilia, which I (and I would hope, most babyfurs) am adamantly against.
The whole idea of my babyfur art is that I am the cub. So for me, the idea of having my adult character dressed up like a baby is very very similar to my character as a cub. In both cases, I'm picturing myself as a baby cub.
I think the difference is that the adult pics are more realistic in the aspect that you can picture yourself in that situation easily, whereas the cub pics take imagining yourself regressed to be a cub.
Anyway, didn't want to go on forever about that. But even though I can understand why people would have a problem with cub art, I just felt like explaining why it appeals to us. It's so incredibly difficult to get across to non-babyfurs, which is why all of us felt so horribly ashamed about it throughout our lives until we found out we weren't alone. You get used to it, but it's so incredibly frustrating and demoralizing not having anyone in your life understand this desire you have which is extremely weird but also completely harmless. It feels so alienating sometimes.
Regardless, thank you for seeing the cuteness in the pic. I'm glad you're open-minded in terms of not finding an adult in a cubby situation to be totally weird/crazy.

Ha ha...I'm sure you have. There's a lot of...stuff, in the furry community.
Interestingly enough, diapers are a huge part of the babyfur community, as you may know. But for me personally, I don't really enjoy the idea of using diapers...I just like how cute and babyish they feel. I think the idea of using diapers is a big turn-off to people outside of babyfurness, and I can understand why.
But for me, the whole idea of being cute is the central part of being a babyfur.
