“N-nishimura!”

He picked up the jar in such a way that you would think he had found a long-lost treasure and was scared in case it got lost again. The bright sun reflected off of the jar with a picture of a bee on the front.

“You brought honey...” said Juuichi in awe. “You're the best, Nishimura!”

Hiroyuki laughed to himself. While he was packing things to bring to the picnic, he quickly checked the kitchen cupboards for any last-minute things. By luck, he had stumbled upon a jar of honey near the back of one cupboard. He swiped it into his basket before rushing out to meet Juuichi. If only Hiroyuki had checked the jar, he would have found it was at least a year out of date, clearly forgotten by his grandparents hidden away in a cupboard. Juuichi was also to blame, as his weakness to resist honey meant he hurriedly opened the lid and devoured the contents without checking either.
