When in doubt, draw some Sonic-related art.

So romantic artwork of Shadow the Hedgehog and Tikal the Echidna have popped up in my deviantART inbox and quite a few Favorites Lists as of late (actually this began quite a few months ago). I don't have anything against the pairing, but I wondered if I was missing something, as I didn't see what all the fuss was about. I am very well aware of who Shadow and Tikal are, but I never thought of shipping them. I guess them both being immortal has something to do with it. Eh, I'm mostly shipping neutral so I don't really care, honestly XD

But back to this. Just to be a rebel, here is Tikal not with Shadow XD Amongst all the Tikal/Shadow art I have seen, a few (and I really mean a few) images of Chaos and Tikal have come to my view, and I thought the idea was both interesting and cute. After researching some more about Chaos and their past (as I never played Sonic Adventure) I got the inspiration to make this thingy, here. /ramblerambleramble

Some of you know me: I had to redesign them XD Tikal was given more of a natural look, to appear more like an echidna than a...whatever thing Sega likes to call "echidnas."
Experimented with how to draw her quills echidnas have quills not dreadlocks and I am pretty content with how they came out.

I based Chaos' design off of their Sonic Generations look. It was Perfect Chaos in the game, but I liked the idea of Chaos being covered in scales except for a few vulnerable under parts being made of that water-like chaos energy the character is made of. Although here in this image, I like to think that instead of pure liquid, it is just very smooth, cool-feeling skin (like the skin of a salamander, perhaps.)

Also wow I genuinely had fun drawing Chaos. They're surprisingly fun to draw XD
