Wooo furvilla painties! Some of these were experimental/ too ambitious, so some changes were too heavy to get accepted into the game. I put some time into them and it would be nice to show them for examples of what would be accepted and what won't so I'll show em off anyways.
I'll be updating this submission if I make any more painties! So far, the characters are:
Monteux edited from the dragon FurVilla base (with heavy edits) Toyhou.se profile Species (tamrian) and original design created by Meredies
Was accepted, since they are still a dragon despite looking a lot different from the base and having very heavy edits.
Eos edited from lop eared rabbit FurVilla base (with heavy edits) Toyhou.se profile original design created by pinstripedtiger
Was rejected, apparently for changing the species despite that it's clearly still a rabbit??? idk man, learning experiences I guess.
Demi edited from the lop eared rabbit FurVilla base (with minimal edits) Toyhou.se profile original design by me, art by furvilla
Was obviously accepted.
Pleur edited from the gecko FurVilla base (with veeery heavy edits) Toyhou.se profile original design by yolk
Was rejected for not looking enough like the original base
Conclusions
- Apparently they allow more wiggle room for changes to the actual features of your villager if it's a dragon, probably because dragon is a largely encompassing term.
- I can almost guarantee Eos would have got accepted if the features she got rejected for (the horns and.. tail?) would be accepted were it not for the base also being completely redrawn, since they literally say in the rules that adding those features are acceptable. We'll see though. In regards to that, I'm sensing a precarious balance with making too many edits and a paintie being labelled a different species despite literally still being the same species, except for the dragons.
- You need to keep parts of the base the same, the pose itself won't count
- Ooooor maybe it was just a different mod that rejected my other painties, who knows.

Hmm, curious! It's interesting to see... I'd been wondering how much wiggle room there was on them! :0c
Thanks for posting these, the art is fantastic, and it's really helpful to see examples of accepted things!
(I think you probably got a picky mod however... I've seen a really heavily edited nudibranch thing that was just. I'm not even sure what it was edited from, and it was on site? So you might want to see if you can appeal!)

Thank you omg!
Yeaaa I was thinking that might be the case too XwX I'm not too stressed about it tbh and I don't wanna like, risk getting suspended by resubmitting tbh. I also don't wanna bring attention to the more outlandish accepted edits because I'd feel damn awful if they went and removed whoever's painties I pointed out or something, so I'm just gonna go with the flow and just learn from this. On a side note, I just got this version of the third one accepted so I think it's more of a 'keep as much as the original base in tact' sort of thing http://www.furvilla.com/img/customs.....g?t=1468032689
