During the second world war and the years after a waffenfabrik called Dietrich and Löwe created copies of captured allied weapons in the hopes of re-marketing them to German civilians. This is a copy of an American high standard 107 with a few design changes by the company. The overall effectiveness of the design was deemed indistinguishable from the original, deeming it a standard .22 target pistol by collectors. As with most firearms in the caliber its quality and accuracy varies with personal experience and opinion.
