(That's the last time I decide to post music at 1:45am. It took me until 3:45 to put it together and get it posted. Bleh.)
Ok. I've wanted to perform Scheherazade since I was in 8th grade... that was... longer ago than I care to think about. Anyway in February I had a chance to perform it with my new orchestra.
I thought a bit about how egotistical it must seem to chop up all of these pieces of music just to play my solos for everyone. But you know what? I've worked much harder at music than at drawing, so I should be proud of the work I've done and post it for those who might appreciate it. There you have it. These are the clarinet solos from Scheherazade- at least, all the major ones.
When you hear the clarinet, that's ME. This recording is not professionally released and was given to me for FREE. It's my recording of me. 100% mine.
Instrumentation:
Full orchestra. I'm playing principal clarinet.

Clarinet solos performed by ME.
Sound clips were editted together by ME.

very nicely done.i will be listening to this beautiful tune for some time to come...however i must admit to being somewhat dissipointed.
i saw the title and thought someone had finally reworked the music from an old NES game that was the very game that got me hooked on playing RPG games...The Magic of Scheherazade.

*laughs* Thank you. In addition to loving this piece of music, I also truly enjoyed The Magic of Scheherazade. I still have it on an emulator- I agree with you; the music for the game is very interesting and well done. Musical nerd that I am, I even analyzed a couple of harmonies from it! >o< Anyway I'm sorry to disappoint you in that respect, but am happy you enjoyed the recording.

I know how you feel about the music/art thing, but in reverse. Sometimes I really wish I had studied art in stead of music! But it's good that not everyone does the same things, I suppose. Thanks again!
