Honor the Fallen
The news of the assasinations of the 5 Dallas law enforcement officers and wounding of 7 others along with 2 civilians is a greatly disturbing one. Not since 9-11 has the Law enforcement community taken such a drastic hit. All because of one radical man who was a possible member of the New Black Panthers. Who openly stated he hated whites and wanted to kill white police officers. Especially after the police shootings of two black males in St Paul and Baton Rouge.
Either way its a tragedy none the less. But the wholesale murder of people who serve the law and protect the people is inexcusable.

At first when I read it, I thought you were linking him to BLM, as many on the right seem to want to do, and was going to comment about how he wasn't part of them; but re-reading it, I see you never made such a claim. It could be that I'm just tired of hearing such that made me read it that way, and might be for others as well. I can't speak for them.
And honestly, SJWs aren't the only ones that jump to conclusions, get facts wrong or twists them to their own opinion. Most 24h news networks do as well, anything to get ratings and/or appease their audience's world views. That's the way the world is nowadays, 'everyone' jumps to conclusions, and everyone uses them to push their own agendas. Truth rarely matters, since by time the truth is even available people's already heard 50 different opinions and have already made their minds up on what the facts are.

Thank you very much for this. The Dallas PD has been very nice and kind to me for as long as I have lived in the DFW area. Even more so the DART pollice are a wonderful group that has helped keep the mass-transit system safe for all to ride. No one deserves to be targeted no matter their job or race.
I was working at the MGM Grand when there were still some small family owned businesses on the Strip. One night, coming into work, there's a ton of cops surrounding a liquor store across the street. Somebody had tried to rob the store and was now holed up with a couple of hostages.
After I swiped in for work, I had to listen to a minority coworker rant and rave all night about how UNFAIR it was to have more than ONE cop trying to arrest this robber who probably just trying to FEED his family and pay his RENT.
For some people, it's just a damn game for them.

Thank you for posting this. Any senseless death no matter the color is upsetting. But especially when the men and women who decide to put on that uniform in an effort to keep us safe and uphold the rule of law are specifically targeted ... it's a sad day indeed. We should grieve their loss.

Another case in the same city in 1971.
8 Suspects arrested or surrendered in 2007. Charges were dropped for 6 suspects. Two other suspects who were serving time for killing two New York City policemen in the 1970s pleaded no contest to voluntary manslaughter and sentenced to time served.

I was aware of both of these, although I was barely a teenager when they happened. I later spent 12 years as a uniformed armed guard, and a lot of my friends and coworkers went on to join several police forces.
"Time served." They should have gotten suspended sentences. I'd even buy the rope.

There is much to understand with the motive, but that does not justify the wanton taking of lives. There's no justice in what happened.
Too many times in the past...police have gotten off the hook because the victim was non-caucasian (and I'm not being PC here...just trying to present as logical...the target wasn't white). The situation is unacceptable. We're supposed to be equal under the law.
The recent police brutalities and the wanton counter-violence...there's no justice in either case.

Since you are a member of

I suggest you not poke others just for the reactions.
