Basically, the nanobots reconstruct the skeleton and exterior of his body based on the information in the DNA. The nanobots use what they can from his old body, shrinking and discarding what isn't needed if the species is smaller. If the species is bigger, he needs raw material to build the new frame. Aluminum for the bones, silicone for skin, and polyester for fur~ That's the basics of it anyways! ^^;
