The first of my geocache series was started in a quilt guild session on turning photos into landscape quilts.

I didn't actually do that, not surprisingly I guess, but I did start a small landscape, with several appliqued animals and heavy on the embellishing. The border is beads on velvet, one of two that were donated to the thrift store.

I had the idea of leaving a pocket hidden in the hanging to place a fake geocache--a small container and a log sheet, bigger than many actual geocaches, especially in urban areas.
