Is this poem accurate, or am I just imagining this trend of growing apathy, and even sympathy, toward tyranny and totalitarianism? As always, I'm welcoming to all feedback of any kind.

I find myself only too often agreeing to it. While we should definitely have our pleasures and relaxation periods and what not, it seems more and more we degenerate into a society that is too busy faking and falling into false, short-term jolts of pleasures rather than seeking out what really makes us happy.
We get so hung up by Social Media, it's not even funny. To put it in perspective, recent studies have shown that humans lost 4 seconds of average attention span since the spawn of Social Media... We need to turn our devices more often off and spend time - together, face to face. And this piece of poetry is expressing my feelings towards our situation very well.
Interesting enough it's so short, even those internet zombies would have probably just about the attention span to read it from start to finish.
